Why Employers Don't Put Salary in Job Ad?

When looking at job offers we all would like to know what salary is offered with that position. Mostly this is not published. Stafferty consultants will share their experience why is it like this:

    • The salary of the respective position has not been confirmed yet - it may happen that if a new position is created in the company, the salary of this position has not been confirmed yet. By talking to candidates, employer will find out what people with different experiences are expecting.

    • Salary depends on the candidate's competence - especially for managers and specialists it plays a bigger role. The salary is formed according to the professional skills and knowledge.

    • The company conducts market research - the employer wants to know what the salary expectations are for certain positions in order to compare the salary levels of the employees and adjust the salary system.

    • Disclosure of salary data is prohibited - the company may have state regulations that the amount of salary may not be disclosed. In some cases, wages can only be discussed at the final stage of the assessment.

    • Wages are below the market average - if the salary is below the market average, it is difficult to find candidates. The company tries to make itself attractive with other benefits, such as interesting assignments, trainings, career prospects, a flexible schedule and so on.
