Board member of the regulated investment firm
The position of board member for the investment firm is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a regulated online trading environment. The firm offers forex, brokerage and trading services to a range of experienced and beginner traders. Therefore, we are looking for somebody who is knowledgeable in these fields and can help us to enter the Estonian market. The successful candidate should possess a good understanding of the investment industry and have an interest in helping our business grow.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Managing the activities of the 2nd line of defence of the Company, i.e. legal, compliance (including AML, KYC) and risk management functions
- Organizing coordination among business units and implementing the strategic plan of the Company
- Communication with the regulator (e.g. Estonian Financial Supervision and Resolution Authority, Financial Intelligence Unit, Data Protection Inspectorate)
- Ensuring that proposed products and services were compliant, would consider the risk of non-compliance and the improvements that can be made to controls, and would review proposed regulation and new compliance requirements
- Identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting of the risks in its area of responsibility
Requirements
- Legal/compliance/risk-management experience preferably in a regulated company.
- Legal/business/finance higher education
- Company, i.e. legal, compliance (including AML, KYC) and risk management functions experience
- Experience and knowledge in the requirements of the Financial Supervision Authority
- Good Estonian and English language
