    How to Avoid Procrastination?

You know you have things to do but you just don't want to start with them?! It's easy to put off, but starting at the last minute can be stressful, and the results aren't as good as they could be. Here are some tips to help you avoid procrastination.

    • Organize - use a notebook or an app to write down all the things you need to do. This makes it much easier to keep track of when something needs to be done.

    • Set simple and achievable goals - we often postpone things because the work ahead seems too big. Divide larger tasks and schedule them. Solving smaller tasks gives you the feeling that you have achieved something and you are more motivated to move on.

    • Set deadlines - write down for what time you must have completed the activities and then try to get them done a few days before the deadline. In this case, you will always be ready on time, even if something unexpected happens.

    • Remove all distractions - the main distraction today is the phone. Put it on silent mode so you will not be tempted to react to every notification. Every time you hear the phone, it stops your focus. Find a quiet place to work where there are no people to disturb you.

    • Take breaks - Our brains can only process a certain amount of information at a time, and we need to take breaks to avoid overwork. Get to know yourself and then you will understand how long you should work and rest. Experts say that if you have worked for 50-90 minutes, it is time for a short break.

    • Time for yourself – from time to time you have to take time for yourself, walk for half an hour, listen to music, do some housework - whatever helps you get your thoughts out of work and relax.

    • Deal with the most difficult things first - although this may cause procrastination again, it's a good idea to start with the most difficult tasks. Then it's done! And the following tasks already seem much easier and take less time.

    • Tell someone about your goals - if you've told someone about your upcoming activities and someone asks you about them, it's much harder not to do these things. And in that case, you also have someone to celebrate the completion of a difficult task.

By following these simple tips, you can get your activities done faster and more successfully, and you'll have even more time to do things that bring you joy and relaxation.
